The kitchen table is such a hub of life isn't it. I looked at this morning's still life and saw apples, mittens, clean washing, homework, books, paints, paper mache and crochet all finding a space.
This is my new and very precious mixing bowl that has come to me from Jonno's grandmother. I have promised her that I will make a Christmas pudding in it this year.
Hugo's homework spot - spelling and times tables.
My paper mache creatures waiting patiently for me to finish them and engaging in a good chat.
And my scarf that I have been working on at night after all of my 'book' tasks have been finished for the day. I am going to put a bobble edge along the bottom.
Lots and lots of love,
Kate. xxooxx

Yes, I agree, the kitchen is the heart of the home, always something going on in the kitchen, memories along with messes. ; )
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your table is as full as mine! Ours is usually covered in laptops, drawings for new projects around the house yarn bits of spinning and a cat! x
ReplyDeleteI second Angela's comments! Your table is not dissimilar to mine today which has a laptop computer, a pile of clean washing, someone's jacket and my crochet basket with notes and sewing needle.
ReplyDeleteWhether it is a craft corner, homework station, workbench or games table, the dinner table is the hive of activity all day long.
A sign of a happy, healthy family if youask me.
Love your little paper mache characters...(or are they made of plasticine - are they plasticine balls I see?)
Love your table cloth! And your nw projects are exciting. xxx
