A Funny Little Bird.

Hello.... I'm back... And I have been busy. I've been making papier mache birds (or at least bird) and practicing Christmas wreath making for a workshop I will be holding with a friend. I love being busy with crafty things, it is so much easier to stay focused with than say, cleaning the house.
This is how the little bird began. To get the beak right, I tied some wire around its head, as well as tying some around its body so its legs can poke out easily.
A bit of paper.
24 hours of waiting patiently and then a bit of paint and fabric. Give it a go, it's really easy.
And here is another little peek of a wreath - not a very christmassy one though.
I am typing this at the end of the day with my feet snuggled under a blanket on the big blue couch. The d.v.d. player is warming up and we have an episode of 'Downton Abby' waiting to be watched. He he he.
Lots of love,
Kate xxooxx.

  1. Cute little bird, I love that show also.

  2. I love you Christmas ideas. And this is another great one! Gorgeous bird! (The one on the wreath is pretty good too ) ;)

  3. Love your bird, the wire makes his stance look so realistic. I have made them out of seed pods with the kids, but this is gorgeous too. melx

  4. Will def give a bird a go......not sure it will look as good s yours though!...Love the pom-poms too.....can't have enough I say...

  5. Gasp! how cute! what a great idea! is it archival? Will it last a long time? I would love to add some of these birdies to my daughter's room :)

  6. Can't wait fr our PBS station to sstrt another year of Downton Abby. I like your wreath colors for Christmas . . well, winter . . I always use pastels for winter because they remind me of sun sparkling off of the freshly fallen snow.

  7. What a tweetie, ooops sorry I mean sweetie! Best Wishes
