Beach Biking.

Let me begin by saying that this is absolutely a one off post (as I am paranoid about salt damage to the bike - I rinsed her off for ages afterwards with a hose at) - but, this morning as I went for a big ride, I ended up cycling back along the beach. The tide was out, the beach quiet and the seagulls gossiping. It was a beautiful silver morning.
I finished the ride by parking near some steps and running back to the house for Jonno and the camera.
I am so glad that I did.

I also made Jonno take a photo so that I could prove the bike really is mine, not just that I am stalking a cycling crocheter.
Jonno carried her back up the stairs for me.
This is my very unexciting helmet - I am thinking I will have to crochet a cover for it soon too.
And back home again for a good bike wash.
Lots of love,
Kate xxooxx.

Fantastic photos. Great bike and beach. I am guilty of being a cycling crocheter stalker. We are home now, but I had my eyes peeled for your bike (and you) each time we were out and about at the beach. Would dearly loved to have seen it in real life and say HI. Maybe next time. Enjoy the rest of you time at the beach. Cx

Kate make sure you keep that bike under lock and chain if you are out and about on it. It's just gorgeous.....

Well done Johnno on providing the brawn for the photo shoot.

A silver morning and gossiping seagulls, what a wonderful picture you paint.

That beach looks like the perfect place for that bike! Although it would look good anywhere! I grew up at the beach so I loved your pics and the mention of gulls. Happy day!

You had better be keeping your bike under lock and key.
There are lots of us out here that would dearly love to have this little beauty for ourselves.

So stinkin' adorable

Das Fahrrad ist der Hammer!!! Ich habe ein hellgrünes Nostalgierad, das ich dieses Jahr auch noch "pimpen" muss. Das mit der Wimpelkette am Korb ist schon mal eine gute Idee.

OH MY WORD! I followed a link and found myself looking at a vision of blue bike gorgeousness! Your bike is totally awesome and you've prettied it up so wonderfully. My hubby is making me an orange bike, and I've showed him what he has to live up to! And how wonderful to ride along the beach with the gulls gossiping

Your bike is sooooo beautiful! You should be very proud of your handywork. Half of me thinks it should be in a museum and the other half thinks you should ride it at every opportunity and show it off!

This is really an awesome bike. People who love their bikes, keep them clean and neat and turned them into beautiful one. You also did a great effort.

I adore your bike! I swear, when I saw the first picture (via onesheepishgirl) my heart stopped. It's so amazing! As I am also a bike lover, I have felt inspired to decorate my bike too. See at
