Part of the family.

Don't you just love seeing the things you have made be absorbed into the house. Like the cushion that took many nights of crocheting sat upon as though it is the most essential piece in the house. I love it. And I love that the boys think it's a normal part of life. By the way, please excuse the tails poking out of the cushion, I just can't get around to sewing them all in, there just seem to be so many more interesting things to be doing... like starting a new cushion.

I love that feeling too, the part of the family bit NOT the sewing in the ends bit.

I often wonder if the kids friends will find it normal to sit under a crochet rug or go to the veggie garden and pick the silver-beet with the a frog in it! Will they think that we are odd! (if they come to that conclusion then they may be right!)

Leonie, I think perhaps we may be in the minority in our own communities?! I keep hearing about people harking back to the old days, growing veges, preserving, making jam etc and I think I must be in the wrong era!
PS Kate, I thought you were posting the photos of Chewy with that title!

I'm afraid I'm an obsessive 'eek if I don't sew that in SECURELY it will pop out when I'm not looking' kind of gal. I always admire people who don't sew their ends in, to me it says that person is lovely, busy, and much too much fun to be getting in a twist about ends, unlike me!
It's soooo lovely seeing your spring flowers. I now know how to get my spring flower kick, when Spring has passed here.
Love Vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)

Oh yes yes yes yes, i SO love that feeling!! I get that day after day when my blankets and cushions are in constant use (although not too keen on the fighting over the ripple, will have to make another).
Your cushion looks delightful with a little bottom sat upon it!
